The Peaceweaver Collection is beautiful handmade jewelry and accessories created by Mayan women in the Lake Atitlan region of Guatemala. These women are primarily widows with children and have few options available to support their families. They have organized into a co-op and are able to bring the work to their homes if they wish. Bamboo Trading is honored to be a part of the global community by bringing you this chic and elegant range. We work directly with this co-op to fairly trade the collection. All pieces come with an attached romance card telling the Peaceweaver story. A portion of the proceeds from this project are donated directly back to this special community through the international charity Friendship Bridge.
